Zen Yarn Garden Serenity Silk+ Lux Blanx are luxurious yarns hand dyed in sock blank form, ready for the fibre artist to unravel and use directly. Dyeing the yarn in this way gives interesting and beautiful gradient effects that differ from other dyeing methods, and some crafters choose to leave the sock blanks intact and just finish their edges.
- Fingering weight sock yarn (#1 superfine)
- 75% superwash merino, 15% cashmere, 10% silk
- Approximately 750 yds
- Suggested needle sizes: 2.25 – 3.25 mm / US 1 – 3
- Hand wash. Dry flat.
How to prepare a sock blank for use
- Knit or crochet directly from the blank, unraveling it as you go. The yarn will be a little crinkly.
- Or, to remove the crinkles, unravel the sock blank and wind it into a skein. Hand wash carefully and hang to dry. Once dry, wind it into a ball before using.
