AGF Cotton Candy (PE-487) is a very light, soft pink from the Art Gallery Fabrics’ Pure Solids collection, named for the iconic, airy sweetness of the spun sugar confection.
Color Description
Cotton Candy is one of AGF’s palest and cleanest pinks, making it an excellent choice for backgrounds, babies’ items, or projects requiring a delicate touch of color.
Hue: A Light, Clean Pink. Retailers consistently describe it as a “nice clean light pink” and a “pale pink.” It is the quintessential pastel pink, capturing the light and ethereal quality of cotton candy.
Undertones: It is a true light pink, sitting close to neutral. While it’s certainly not a blue-based (cool) pink, it is generally considered a soft, slightly warm or neutral pink that blends well with other pastels and white-based prints. The coordinating Aurifil thread is listed as “Pale Pink,” which confirms its pale, non-vibrant nature.
Tone/Value: It is a very light value color, only a few steps away from white, such as Snow (PE-433) or Creme de la Creme (PE-432). It is noticeably lighter than other AGF pinks like Quartz Pink (PE-411) and much softer than Blossomed (PE-488).
