The Professional Finish: Mastering Grafting & The Invisible Bind-Off

Description

Master the art of the perfect, seamless edge in this essential skill-building workshop—the grand finale of our Double Knitting series! In this two-hour intensive, you will transform your hand-knits from “homemade” to “high-end boutique” by conquering the dreaded Kitchener stitch. You’ll tackle the “Big Win” of grafting—learning Amanda’s efficient, stress-free method to create invisible joins that look like magic. Whether you are finishing a double-knitted masterpiece, a ribbed hem, or a brioche project, you will leave this class with the technical precision to produce polished, store-quality results on every future garment.

What You Will Learn

  • Grafting Made Easy: Mastering Amanda’s favorite efficient method for the Kitchener stitch to create a perfectly seamless join.
  • Mnemonic Mastery: Learning clever memory tricks and “rhythms” to help you keep your place in the stitch without constantly checking a manual.
  • Troubleshooting & Recovery: How to “read” your stitches to find your place if you get off track or drop a stitch mid-graft.
  • The Invisible Bind-Off: Applying your grafting knowledge to create a professional, stretchy edge that is ideal for ribbing, double knitting, and brioche.
  • Store-Bought Results: Understanding how to replicate the seamless finish found on luxury commercial sweaters for your own hand-knitted pieces.
