Master the art of high-impact gift-making by transforming two meters of fabric into a boutique-quality, fully reversible apron! In this fun, one-day workshop, you will sew a stunning double-sided garment while learning the professional secrets of layout and construction. You’ll conquer the “Big Win” of fabric coordination and pattern reading—learning how to choose and align complementary prints so that your apron looks intentional and high-end. You will leave this class with a finished, gift-ready masterpiece and the technical confidence to navigate patterns and assemble multi-layered garments on your own.
What You Will Learn
- Pattern Literacy: Learning how to read a garment pattern, understand markings, and follow assembly instructions step-by-step.
- Fabric Coordination: Mastering the “Rule of Three” to choose a main fabric, a lining, and a pocket print that look professionally curated.
- Seamless Construction: Techniques for creating a “clean-finish” garment that is fully reversible with no exposed raw edges.
- Strategic Alignment: Learning how to layout your pattern pieces on the grain to ensure your apron hangs perfectly and doesn’t twist.
- Symmetrical Pocket Placement: Mastering the art of aligning and sewing pockets on both sides of the apron for a functional and balanced look.
- Strap & Topstitching Mastery: Learning to create durable, comfortable straps and execute professional topstitching through multiple layers of fabric.

- Skill Level: Advanced Beginner. If you can thread your machine and sew a straight seam, you are ready to level up your sewing skills with this project!
Special Information & Preparation
- Pre-Class Prep: Please have your 2 meters of fabric selected and pressed (ironed) prior to the start of class.
- Lunch/Breaks: This is a 5-hour session. We recommend bringing a lunch or snack
