- Two-Color Brioche Basics: Master the essential brioche knit (BRK) and brioche purl (BRP) stitches. We focus on understanding the structure of the stitch, giving you the confidence to easily identify and fix knitting mistakesโa crucial skill for any knitter.
- The Reversible Cowl Project: You’ll create a cozy, reversible cowl, perfectly sized for combating Ottawa winters. This project features a beautiful twist pattern, giving the impressive look of complicated cables using simple brioche increases and decreases.
- Skill Building: With an instructor by your side, you’ll gain practical experience following a pattern, ensuring you’ll be prepared to tackle any brioche knitting pattern on your own after the class. You’ll walk away with an impressive, new, reversible neckwarmer!

Meet Your Expert Instructor
This knitting workshop is taught by Amanda Schwabe, a long-time knitting designer and instructor with over 10 years of teaching experience. Amanda specializes in brioche pattern design and is passionate about helping students understand the why behind the stitches, especially when it comes to troubleshooting and fixing knitting errors.

- Yarn (Worsted Weight): The project requires two contrasting colors.
- Color A (Pink): 100g / 210 yards worsted weight (e.g., Malabrigo Rios in Fuscia)
- Color B (Blue): 100g / 210 yards worsted weight (e.g., Malabrigo Rios in Ankara Green)
