International Quilt Day Weekend – Featuring a Special Guest Instructor from Bernina Canada

Event Description

Get ready to celebrate quilting this weekend, in the best way possible! We are having numerous sales on products in the store and 2 days of courses about Free Motion Quilting on your domestic machine using the BSR and Longarm Computerized Quilting with Bernina Canada’s very own Product Educator! You will get a chance to try various Bernina products, sewing machines and the BSR No Bernina, No BSR, No Problem. We will also be offering special pricing for this event only! You will leave this event feeling confident that you can quilt any project, on any machine!

Day 1 – March 21st: Free Motion Quilting on your Domestic Machine Using the BSR (Hands-On Experience)

    • Instructor & Qualifications:
      • Allison Giroux is a Product Educator with Bernina Canada. If you have ever had a question about any of Bernina’s product she has the answer! Be it questions about Bernina’s longarms, sewing machines, feet, other tools, etc. She has the answer!

Special Information & Preparation

• Maker Savvy will provide quilt sandwiches for this event
• Bring your Bernina sewing machine and Bernina Stitch Regulator.  Machines will be available if you do not have a machine with a Bernina Stitch Regulator.

Day 2 – March 22nd: Longarm Computerized Quilting the Bernina Way (Lecture & Demo)

What You Will Learn

1. 1. • Longarm Computerized Quilting the Bernina Way:
        1. Different features of the Q-Matic, such as icons and what it has to offer
        2. How to set up an Edge-to-Edge design
        3. Custom Quilting
        4. Masking
        5. Borders
