Fill the Mitten Bin

Description

Mittens are the perfect summer project! They’re small, they’re portable, and it’s so satisfying to have a bin of them ready and waiting when the cold weather arrives. Learn a classic mitten pattern that will help you knit a stack of useful mittens for all sizes. Amanda’s mitten recipe will help you along the road to knitting mittens without a pattern.

What You Will Learn

  1. The basic mitten shape: All the usual parts and how they fit together, including how to modify and customize them.
  2. An easy thumb gusset: Make mittens with any yarn with this adjustable thumb gusset.
  3. Finger shaping: Do you want them pointy? Rounded? Learn both shapes so you can change things up.
  4. Knitting the thumb: How to pick up the stitches so no gaps form at the thumb corners.
