DESCRIPTION:Description \nFreeform crochet is a pattern-free\, artistic technique where crochet stitches are used spontaneously to create 2D or 3D fabric\, often described as “painting with yarn” or “taking your yarn for a walk”. It involves mixing colours\, textures\, and varied techniques—sometimes combined with knitting or other fibre arts—without following traditional rules\, patterns\, or counting.  In this class\, we will use a pattern for a summer wrap as inspiration and then create colour mixes and textures. \n\nWhat You Will Learn\n\n\n\n\n\nFoundation Row:  create your starting chain and first row of stitches together.  Can also be used to send your work in a different direction.\nShort Rows:  create different shapes and areas of concentrated colour in the middle of your work.\nAlternate stitch definition: Create different looks for your stitches by placing your hook in a different starting point.\n3D Texture:  create raised textures and add colour to other areas by creating your stitch over multiple rows\n\n\n\n\n\n\nClass Details\n\n\n\n\n\nDate & Time: \n\nMay 20th\, 2026 |\n2 time slots\n\n @2:00-4:00pm\n@6:00-8:00pm\n\n\n\n\nLocation:\n\nMaker Savvy Classroom\n\n\nSkill Level: Confident Beginner\, Intermediate\, Advanced\nInstructor & Qualifications:\n\nJoin Wendy and learn new ways to crochet.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nSpecial Information & Preparation\n\nAt least 4 colours of light worsted to worsted weight yarn and at least 300 meters.  The more colours\, the more variety.\n5mm crochet hook.\nWhat’s Included in Registration:\n\nInspiration Pattern is included with your registration\n\n\n\nRegister Here
