The fabric collection featured in this quilt is designed by Valorie Wells\, and the blocks were designed by different quilt artists to show this collection in its best light. Join the Maker Savvy team each month as we create a new block in the quilt over a 10-month period. DESCRIPTION:Join Maker Savvy for our third Murder Mystery Knit Along.   We are super pleased to have Amanda Schwabe working with us again\, and Amanda is also designing the shawl pattern. \nKnit together\, get the next clue\, read the next chapter\, learn new techniques\, and get tips and tricks from the pattern designer\, Amanda Schwabe. \nSix clues ~ Six colours ~ Six weeks \nWhen do I find out the next clue?\nKnit with us over the course of 6 weeks on Tuesdays\, and get the clues needed to solve the mystery! \n\nSeptember @2:00-4:00pm & @6:00-8:00pm\n\n12th\, 23rd & 30th\n\n\nOctober @2:00-4:00pm & @6:00-8:00pm\n\n7th\, 14th & 21st\n\n\n\nFAQ’s\nWhat is it?\nWe’ll be knitting a shawl in six steps. You’ll receive one “clue” each week containing the next part of the pattern. \nWhat will the shawl pattern look like?\nIt’s a mystery! Amanda has been teaching knitting classes in the Ottawa area for 10+ years\, and designing and writing knitting patterns even longer. She can help you with your knitting\, no matter what it is. Brioche\, socks\, mittens\, sweater fitting\, fixing mistakes (even in complex lace or cables)\, colourwork\, shawls\, amigurumi\, and so on — it’s all fair game. \nIt’s a good idea to bring a few projects\, so that if you get stuck on one\, you’ll have something simple to knit while Amanda is helping other students. \nThis Tuesday morning class runs every week. You’re welcome to drop in and sign up on the morning of the class\, but it’s best to sign up ahead of time so we can notify you if the class gets cancelled because of sickness or extenuating circumstances.

DESCRIPTION:Join Maker Savvy for our third Murder Mystery Knit Along.   We are super pleased to have Amanda Schwabe working with us again\, and Amanda is also designing the shawl pattern. \nKnit together\, get the next clue\, read the next chapter\, learn new techniques\, and get tips and tricks from the pattern designer\, Amanda Schwabe. \nSix clues ~ Six colours ~ Six weeks \nWhen do I find out the next clue?\nKnit with us over the course of 6 weeks on Tuesdays\, and get the clues needed to solve the mystery! \n\nSeptember\n\n12th\, 23rd & 30th\n\n\nOctober\n\n7th\, 14th & 21st\n\n\n\nFAQ’s\nWhat is it?\nWe’ll be knitting a shawl in six steps. You’ll receive one “clue” each week containing the next part of the pattern. \nWhat will the shawl pattern look like?\nIt’s a mystery! But here are a few hints:\nTexture\, movement\, direction\, drape. \nCan I expect this year’s shawl to be similar to last year’s?\nNot at all. Expect something completely different. We don’t want to bore you\, after all! \nDo I have to use Koigu?\nNo\, you can use any fingering-weight yarn you like. \nCan I use all KPM or more KPPPM?\nFeel free to switch things up if you’re feeling adventurous. This pattern will play well with those variegated yarns\, but keeping the MC as a solid that supports all the KPPPMs will be beneficial. \nCan I use yarn from my stash?\nOf course! Knitting teacher Amanda Schwabe will be here to help you troubleshoot any project or learn a new knitting skill. \nBring your wips\, your projects that are in time out\, or your next new challenge. Amanda has been teaching knitting classes in the Ottawa area for 10+ years\, and designing and writing knitting patterns even longer. She can help you with your knitting\, no matter what it is. Brioche\, socks\, mittens\, sweater fitting\, fixing mistakes (even in complex lace or cables)\, colourwork\, shawls\, amigurumi\, and so on — it’s all fair game. \nIt’s a good idea to bring a few projects\, so that if you get stuck on one\, you’ll have something simple to knit while Amanda is helping other students. \nThis Tuesday morning class runs every week. You’re welcome to drop in and sign up on the morning of the class\, but it’s best to sign up ahead of time so we can notify you if the class gets cancelled because of sickness or extenuating circumstances.

DESCRIPTION:What is this Quilt Along?\nWorthy of Grace is a colourful lap quilt full of different techniques. The fabric collection featured in this quilt is designed by Valorie Wells\, and the blocks were designed by different quilt artists to show this collection in its best light. Join the Maker Savvy team each month as we create a new block in the quilt over a 10-month period. Each month’s technique builds on the previous month’s lesson. \nWhat will you learn?\nYou will learn so many amazing techniques like: \n\n\n\n\n\nregular piecing with a quarter-inch seam allowance\nmultiples pieced blocks\nfoundation paper piecing\nnot a square blocks\ntemplates\ncurved piecing\nraw edge and ‘needle turn’ applique\n\n\n\n\n\nHow Much is the class and what’s included?\nMonthly fabric kits and patterns are included in the price for this Quilt A Long.  There are two options for payment: \n\n\n\n\n\n$29.95 plus taxes once a month for 10 months\n$250.00 plus taxes up front (pick up still once a month).  A $50 savings.\n\n\n\n\n\nOptional instruction classes are extra.  Instruction classes are $15 plus taxes each.  Some blocks will have optional notions to help with their construction. \nFabric Image Gallery
