Not Your Grandmother’s Flower Garden – An Introduction to Modern Traditionalism
April 4 @ 9:30 am – 12:00 pm

Description
Take your quilts to the next level with this modern traditionalism faux English Paper Pieced (EPP) hexi. What is modern traditionalism? Modern Traditionalism is the use of an identifiable traditional block, modernized in some way, using design techniques like colour, scale, symmetry, and grid placement.
The faux EPP hexies are stitched onto a traditional 4-patch block in modern low-volume prints. The result is a quilt top featuring traditional blocks, stitched in a modern way, with modern and traditional fabrics on a four-patch grid. This quilt is also scrap-friendly.
