Class Description

Learn to Quilt is an offering in the Maker Savvy Learn To… series. Join Louise and create a very colourful personal-sized modern quilt. At the end of this class, you will have completed your very own quilt top ready to be quilted. This class is four sessions, 1 per week for 4 weeks.

What will you learn?

• Proper cutting techniques to aid in precise piecing
• Sewing an accurate 1/4 inch seam for piecing
• Assembling a quilt top
• Reading a pattern and understanding quilt terminology used in quilting magazines, books and patterns
• How to use common tools used for quilting
  • Rulers
  • Rotary cutter
  • Cutting mat
  • Patchwork foot
  • etc.

When is this class?

• This class will run on Wednesdays for 4 weeks
